Dr. Nace Stojanov was born on January 21, 1964, in Veles, Republic of Macedonia.
In the academic year 1990/91, he was employed at the Institute of Physics as a research assistant. He obtained his master's degree at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje, with the thesis Structural Changes in a One-Dimensional Magnetic Lattice System and Neutral Particles with Spin ½, in December 1995.
He earned the title of Doctor of Physical Sciences in June 2003 by defending his doctoral dissertation entitled Channeling of Relativistic Protons in a Bent Silicon Crystal.
He was appointed as an assistant professor in January 2004, promoted to associate professor in December 2008, and became a full professor of a group of courses in theoretical and general physics in 2013.
At the undergraduate level, he teaches Statistical Physics, Computer Physics, Introduction to Programming, Computer Data Analysis, and ICT in Teaching at the Faculty of Education and a group of elective courses in physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
At the second cycle (master's) level in physics, he teaches Advanced Statistical Physics and Mathematical Methods in Theoretical Physics, and at the third cycle (doctoral) level, he teaches Computer Simulations in Physics.
Dr. Nace Stojanov has served as the head of the Institute of Physics, the head of the Department of Theoretical Physics, and as the President of the Society of Physicists of the Republic of Macedonia.
He has actively participated in the work of the Society of Physicists and the Society of Astronomers of the Republic of Macedonia. He has acted as a reviewer for both foreign and domestic scientific/professional papers and is a member of the editorial boards of scientific/professional journals.
Dr. Nace Stojanov, among others, has also published the following papers:
