Course content:  

- Mechanics. Kinematics and dynamics of a material point - Newton's laws, inertial systems, momentum, energy, power, conservation laws, gravity and gravitational field. Kinematics and dynamics of a rigid body.- Fluid mechanics. Pressure, Archimedes' law, Bernoulli's equation, law of continuity. - Molecular physics and thermodynamics. Ideal gas model, equations of state, laws of thermodynamics, basic thermodynamic processes.

- Electromagnetism. Electrostatics – Coulomb's law, electric field strength, potential, capacitors, electric capacity. Electric current – ​​current, resistance, Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's rules, work and power of direct and alternating current. Magnetism - magnetic field of a current-carrying conductor, current-carrying conductor in a magnetic field, Lorentz force, Ampere's law, law of electromagnetic induction, magnetic flux, self-induction, inductance, permeability. Alternating current - resistors, capacitors and inductances in an alternating current circuit.

- Oscillations and waves. Harmonic Oscillator Model, Equation of Harmonic Oscillations, Mathematical Pendulum. Waves – propagation of a plane wave, types of waves, refraction and refraction, Doppler effect, superposition of waves, Fermat's principle.

- Optics. Geometrical optics – basic laws of geometrical optics, mirrors, lenses. Physical optics – interference, diffraction and polarization of light

- Modern physics. Fundamentals of quantum mechanics - photon energy and momentum, photoelectric effect, Compton effect, Rutherford-Bohr model of the atom, de Broglie wavelength, Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. Basics of special relativity - principle of relativity, addition of velocities, relativistic Doppler effect, relativistic momentum and energy, law of conservation of momentum and energy. Basics of nuclear physics - nuclear binding energy, simple radioactive decay.
