• The subject and development of archaeoastronomy as an interdisciplinary science

• Methods of archaeoastronomy

• Measurement of astronomical alignments on the ancient structures and their cultural interpretation and meaning. The relation of archaeoastronomy to archaeology.

• History and construction of the ancient monuments (observatories) of the British Isles and Europe.

• Historical development of Western astronomy and the astronomy of Asian, African and American civilizations and cultures. Astronomy in mythology and ancient religions and its influence on the architecture of ancient structures.

• History and construction of the Kokino megalithic observatory.
